• Strong experience in complex mortgage underwriting within the residential and BTL space.
• Previous experience of assessing complex self-employed accounts.
• Willingness to achieve CeMap qualification within 12 months if not already qualified.

Responsibilities

• Assess and make recommendations on cases outside of policy.
• Liaise with customers, brokers, valuers, and solicitors during processing.
• Lead the application process providing guidance to Underwriters.
• Independently assess and interpret complex financial accounts.
• Review and provide sign-off for complex income assessments.
• Analyse personal and business income to assess credit risk.
• Rapidly review and provide indicative assessments of financial accounts.
• Chair the Credit Committee for sound credit decisions.
