Stress analysis
Education Requirements:
Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace/aeronautical, manufacturing, preferred).
Capability Requirements:
The applicant must have 15+ years experience within gas turbine design and analysis, be familiar with 2D and 3D stress analysis, in particular gas turbine rotating parts and/or structural components, using the latest in modelling techniques, such as friction at interfaces, elastic/plastic, for instance. You must have experience with ANSYS Mechanical APDL or Workbench, a meshing application such as Hypermesh or UG NX, and a computer aided modelling program such as UG NX. Prior experience with component life analysis (fatigue, damage tolerance, and fracture mechanics) is preferred.
As a subject matter expert in your field, you will be proactive in your approach, offering coaching and guidance to the team and be able to adapt to emerging customer demands.
