Overview

Role - Senior Landscape Architect (LVIA)

Location - Greater Manchester

Salary - £DOE

We are looking for a Senior Landscape Consultant to join a growing multidisciplinary team in Greater Manchester. Our client is a well-established Landscape Institute Registered Practice with over 400 employees who work across a wide variety of sectors. The successful candidate will be an important part of a friendly supportive team. Staff wellbeing priorities are integrated throughout the organisation and at the forefront of their purpose.

The Role
  • Undertaking landscape and visual appraisals
  • Assisting in the delivery of landscape and other requested input into Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and planning applications
  • Conducting the delivery of Landscape Research and Strategic Green Infrastructure studies including desk studies, consultations, research, data management and analysis and report writing, liaising with clients and statutory bodies as necessary
  • Designing of mitigation schemes for developments
  • Undertaking the preparation of landscape implementation and management plans
  • Assisting in and managing small landscape and other contracts, liaising with internal and external deliverers, third parties and clients
Senior Landscape Architect – Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree/post graduate degree in Landscape Architecture
  • A Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
  • Experienced in both fieldwork and desk work in undertaking Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments and/or Landscape and Visual Appraisals
  • Experienced in design including detail landscape construction and planting plans
  • Demonstrate creativity and technical competence in design schemes, including good horticultural and ecological knowledge and awareness of sustainability criteria
  • Be technical proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite particularly Photoshop and InDesign with the ability to competently produce plans, sections and construction details
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A full & clean driving licence
