A leading IT services organization is seeking an experienced Java Architect for a contract role in Manchester. You will be responsible for designing secure Back End systems, leading technical discussions, and implementing microservices solutions on AWS and GCP. The ideal candidate has over 10 years in software development and strong expertise in Java and AWS. This role offers up to £575 per day with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development, with at least 6 years in Java/AWS microservices architecture.
• Proven experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design secure, scalable Back End systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and provide mentorship to development teams.
• Design and implement microservices and event-driven architectures on AWS/GCP.
