Job summary

A leading civil engineering firm in Southampton seeks a Senior HSEQ Advisor to support and improve health, safety, environmental, and quality systems on various projects. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in construction, preferably civil engineering, and possess a NEBOSH Construction Certificate. Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset are essential. A full UK driving licence is required.

We're looking for a Senior HSEQ Advisor who's passionate about high standards, thrives in a team environment, and isn't afraid to get stuck in. This role is key to supporting and improving our health, safety, environmental and quality systems across a range of civil engineering projects.

You'll be working closely with site teams, management, and clients to help maintain compliance and promote a strong safety culture across the board.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting project teams with expert HSEQ advice

Leading and assisting with audits, inspections, and incident investigations

Monitoring compliance with legislation, procedures, and best practice

Driving improvement actions and reporting on outcomes

Coaching and influencing teams on all things HSEQ

You'll need:

At least 5 years' experience in a construction (preferably civil engineering) environment

NEBOSH Construction Certificate (minimum), working toward Diploma/NVQ 5/6

Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 systems

Strong communicator with confidence, integrity, and a proactive mindset

A full UK driving licence
