Senior Health Care Assistant, Band 3 — Permanent, Full Time, 37.5 hours per week. Oxleas NHS Trust is searching for compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our acute admission wards teams. You\'ll play a vital role in supporting adults experiencing mental health challenges, offering them hope and stability during a difficult time. Please note: The following activities are typical for this role but not an exhaustive list and may be updated as part of the role development: assist patients with activities of daily living (eating and drinking, movement, physical comfort, personal hygiene and use of toilet facilities); work at the direction of registered nurses; communicate effectively with patients and the multi-disciplinary team; participate in planning and liaison activities for patients; inform a registered nurse as soon as possible when any change in a patient\'s condition is noticed; support patients in admission, discharge, death or personal loss and in adapting to their new environment; report any complaints or requests for information from patients; use resources effectively; report all risks to senior nursing staff; assist in the general running of the department including housekeeping and clerical duties; participate in appraisal and training to develop a personal development plan; undertake any other duties commensurate to the grade as requested by the line manager; attend staff meetings and mandatory training; take responsibility for carrying a radio and responding as required; work with management to support the Prison Health Agenda at all levels.
