A prominent healthcare organization in Warrington is seeking an experienced Forensic Consultant Psychiatrist to lead forensic mental health services at St Mary’s Hospital. The role involves managing a defined caseload, providing expert clinical oversight, and ensuring high standards of psychiatric care for individuals within the criminal justice system. You will be responsible for clinical governance, staff mentoring, and contributing to service development while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide effective care.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' postgraduate psychiatric experience, including 2+ years in forensic settings.
• Experience as a Responsible Clinician in secure inpatient settings.
• Strong clinical governance and quality improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage defined caseloads and oversee psychiatric assessments.
• Provide specialist advice to courts and prepare tribunal reports.
• Lead and support multidisciplinary teams in the care program.
