A leading and rapidly expanding manufacturing and distribution group in Leicester is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their knowledgeable finance team. Role remit:

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts that provide valuable insights for decision-making across the business.
  • Conduct detailed control account and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all financial records are maintained with precision and integrity.
  • Manage accruals and prepayments processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and reflect true business activity.
  • Maintain robust inventory controls and oversee accurate valuation procedures to support effective stock management.
  • Oversee the fixed assets register, including associated reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Role Profile:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified, ideally with a practice trained background, looking to make their 2nd move in industry.
  • Possess a background in Practice training complemented by 1-3 years' experience within industry settings for well-rounded expertise.
  • Experience within import/export or international supply chains would be advantageous for understanding global business operations.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of both profit & loss (P&L) statements and balance sheet accounting for comprehensive financial oversight.
  • Exhibit excellent attention to detail alongside a problem-solving mindset that enables you to identify discrepancies quickly and propose effective solutions.
  • Display confident communication skills that allow you to present complex financial data clearly to senior stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
The role is based on site in their Leicester office.
