Overview

The Senior Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in driving commercial performance and strategic decision-making across the Retail, Leisure & CPS sector within the Cleaning Business Unit. Acting as a trusted advisor to both the Commercial Finance Director and Sector MD, this role will lead a small team of Finance Business Partners to deliver insightful financial analysis, robust forecasting, and value-adding business support.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Partner with the Sector MD to influence strategic direction and drive financial performance. Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for the sector. Provide commercial insight and challenge to operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a small team of Finance Business Partners, fostering a high-performance culture. Support career development and ensure continuous improvement in financial capabilities across the team.
  • Business Partnering: Build strong relationships with operational and commercial stakeholders. Translate financial data into actionable insights to support decision-making. Drive cost efficiency, margin improvement, and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis. Monitor risks, KPIs and performance metrics, identifying opportunities. Support month-end and year-end processes in collaboration with the wider finance team.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial controls, policies, and procedures of OCS. Support audit processes and risk management activities.
Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience, ideally within Facilities Management industry.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance business partnering role.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Experience in a multi-site or service-based business is desirable.
