London Based Hybrid - Three Days London Office Based

We’re all about backing our people to grow, and Burger King UK is seeking a Senior Finance Assistant (AP) to join the Finance team. You’ll be responsible for Accounts Payable, managing the Adfund ledger, and processing thousands of invoices each month to keep the finance engine running smoothly.

You’ll be based at Whopper Support three days a week, with the rest from home. You’ll help keep processes smooth, suppliers happy, and the business moving.

What you’ll be doing
  • Own the Adfund AP ledger and lead bi-weekly payment runs
  • Prepare and check payment data with high attention to detail
  • Process high-volume invoices each month
  • Resolve invoice issues — rejected, on-hold, or confusing
  • Reconcile supplier statements across 35+ accounts
  • Collaborate with energy consultants and Management Accounts to keep the lights on
  • Be the primary contact for suppliers across phone, email, and inboxes
  • Allocate payments (manual or direct debit)
  • Support key accounts like Best Food from posting to payment
  • Cross-train across Accounts Receivable to stay versatile
  • Step in when the Transactions Manager is unavailable
  • Provide support to the wider Finance team as needed
What you’ll bring to the table
  • Solid AP experience in a high-volume, multi-site setup (hospitality/retail/QSR is a plus)
  • Confident communication with suppliers and colleagues; approachable yet professional
  • Attention to detail and ability to spot issues in large data sets
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency; Office suite skills
  • Nice-to-have: SAP Business One or Docuware experience
