Overview

Senior Estimator wanted to lead construction estimating—pricing, quotes and variations, mentor designers, and set standards in a fast-growing, award-winning organisation offering progression into Senior Management.

As a Senior Estimator, you'll interpret drawings, build competitive quotes and technical schedules, and guide best practice across the estimating function. This role blends hands-on construction estimating with team leadership and clear progression towards senior management.

Role Snapshot / Features

• Interpret construction drawings; prepare detailed, competitive estimating schedules and quotes
• Build cost plans, re-price updates and issue variations for live projects
• Work with an internal structural team to check basic calculations to current standards
• Lead and develop Design Engineers—set expectations, delegate, review performance
• Run clear handovers to the project team when orders land
• Engage customers via calls/emails; attend office/site meetings when required
• Deliver product presentations and occasional site-installation training
• Champion Health & Safety; maintain quality and compliance in all outputs

You'll Need

• Several years' experience in a construction estimating / technical role
• Proven leadership and people-management skills
• Strong analytical/problem-solving; commercially aware and target-driven
• Confident interpreting drawings and understanding construction processes/standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam and AutoCAD
• Excellent communication and organisation
