Location: South East England, Kent

Working Pattern: Hybrid — Office presence required 3 days per week

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary Range: Up To £43,500 per annum (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior EHCP Coordinator (Deputy Assessment Hub Lead) to join an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Assessment Team. This role offers an opportunity to influence outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The post supports the Assessment Hub Lead in overseeing the statutory Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process, ensuring plans are high-quality, outcome-focused, and delivered within the statutory 20-week timeframe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support management of the 20-week EHCNA process from Early Years to Post-16.
  • Draft, review, and quality assure EHCPs, ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Supervise and support assessment officers, promoting high standards of practice.
  • Manage a small caseload of complex cases.
  • Lead on multi-agency collaboration, SEND panels, and placement decisions.
  • Monitor case progress, data accuracy, and statutory compliance.
  • Deputise for the Hub Lead where required.
Requirements

  • Significant experience in EHCP writing, review, or statutory assessment processes.
  • Previous local authority SEND experience (essential).
