A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Ecologist to support commercial activities and provide ecological consultancy for projects. The role involves delivering surveys, managing projects, and mentoring staff. Ideal candidates will have experience in ecological consultancy, relevant qualifications, and a UK driving license. Qualifications

• Experience in ecological consultancy focused on protected species.
• Understanding of industry-standard survey techniques.
• Hold at least one protected species licence.
• Membership of an environmental professional body (CIEEM preferable).
• Qualified to degree level in an environmental subject.

Responsibilities

• Deliver protected species surveys and reports.
• Coordinate ecological clerk of works (ECoW).
• Respond to environmental incidents and undertake assessments.
• Provide advice on ecological impacts during works.
• Mentor staff and support their development.
