About The Role

As a Senior Digital Marketing Officer you’ll play a key role in making our digital offer more impactful, trusted and effective for our audiences. You’ll balance creativity with data insights, and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to deliver digital content that is intuitive, informative and genuinely useful for our audiences.

In Addition, You Will
  • Create, manage and optimise digital content such as web copy, videos, infographics and email campaigns, ensuring it meets user needs, accessibility standards and governance requirements.
  • Develop and deliver social media strategies that grow reach, engagement and audience understanding.
  • Use digital insight, user testing and Government Digital Service (GDS) standards to shape and improve website content and user journeys.
  • Identify user needs through workshops, feedback and data, and address content gaps or overlaps.
  • Work closely with external web developers and internal teams to ensure user needs are understood and met.
  • Design and produce inclusive, accessible multimedia content (e.g. videos, animations, podcasts) using Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Collaborate with research, data and communication colleagues to ensure digital content is consistent, accessible and aligned with wider organisational insight.
  • Lead on digital accessibility, maintain the accessibility statement, and champion best practice across the organisation.
About You

In Addition, For This Role We Are Looking For
  • Previous experience creating engaging digital content for multiple platforms and diverse audiences with a critical eye for visual language.
  • Excellent content and editorial skills with professional‑standard copywriting ability and a strong understanding of design and layout to bring complex issues to life.
  • Experience of using content management systems, managing social media channels and digital design tools.
  • A clear understanding of communication planning using audience driven insights and evaluation frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Government Digital Service standards, public sector accessibility requirements, copyright, and data protection (including GDPR).
  • An understanding of HTML and CSS, and ideally, experience of working with web developers.
  • Previous experience of using marketing tools such as Google Analytics, and great analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Experience of user research and testing.
  • Experience of producing multimedia content (such as blogs, social media, podcasts, film or animation).
