Qualifications

• Minimum of a 1st or 2nd class honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• MSc in transfusion/transplantation or appropriate specialism.
• Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) registered Clinical Scientist.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice and opinion on transfusion practices.
• Lead and manage the RCI Senior Management Team.
• Conduct research and clinical audits to improve practices.

Skills

Knowledge of transfusion science

Leadership skills

Expertise in Red Cell Immunohaematology

Microsoft Office proficiency

Education

1st or 2nd class honours degree in relevant subject

MSc in transfusion/transplantation

DClinSci / D Prof / relevant PhD

FRCPath in Transfusion Science

HCPC registered Clinical Scientist
