Job summary

A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Consultant to provide key technical support in environmental permitting. In this role, you will oversee environmental audits, pollution prevention strategies, and contribute to waste management efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree, experience in waste management facilities, and strong project management skills. A UK Driving Licence is essential for this position.

Qualifications

  • Experience of implementing Quality Management Systems throughout projects.
  • Experience of project management and financial control including preparing and working to budgets.
  • UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical input to the Environmental Permitting Department.
  • Oversee technical work prepared by colleagues.
  • Conduct environmental risk assessments and audits.

Senior Consultant - Environmental Permitting

WasteRecruit are working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy to source a Senior Consultant.

In this role, you will provide technical input to the Environmental Permitting Department in respect of environmental permitting, pollution prevention and control, waste management licensing, environmental risk assessments and environmental audits and legislation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • BSc qualification in relevant subject area is desirable
  • Membership of a relevant professional body i.e. CIWM is desirable
  • Experience in mineral operations and waste management facilities
  • Ability to supervise a range of practical works and / or others undertaking field works
  • High standard of written work and overseeing technical work prepared by colleagues
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of specialist risk assessment and/or hydrogeological modelling software
  • Experience of implementing Quality Management Systems throughout projects
  • Experience of project management and financial control including preparing and working to budgets
  • Good project management, administrative, communication and organisational skills
  • UK Driving Licence
