Senior Project Managers - Project Management Consultancy - Newcastle

Employment Type: Permanent

Experience: 10+ years

Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

The Senior Project Manager will be managing residential and commercial office construction and fit-out projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include delivering professional project management services, monitoring daily activities, managing information flow, and tracking issues related to progress, quality, and safety.

The candidate should have strong client-facing skills with proven communication and organizational abilities.

Pre-Contract Responsibilities:
  • Develop scope of work, priorities, KPIs
  • Schedule and chair meetings, record minutes
  • Agree on planning strategy and ensure design team adherence
  • Design and implement reporting structures
  • Review design briefs, support communication, verification, and scope control
  • Prepare Project Execution Plan (PEP)
  • Define roles and responsibilities for professional and design teams
  • Lead design, value engineering, and risk assessments
  • Develop procurement strategies and manage tender processes
Post-Contract Responsibilities:
  • Set up project for success with clear milestones
  • Manage construction phase, track progress, and report
  • Manage relationships and ensure project closure according to best practices
  • Address deviations, liaise with third parties, and escalate concerns
  • Maintain timesheets and support financial tracking
  • Contribute to quality management, internal strategies, and business development
  • Mentor team members and develop client relationships
Requirements:
