The Compliance department has launched a major governance and regulatory change programme. The team is expanding, and we are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Compliance professionals to help us succeed. The position of Compliance Framework Specialist offers a unique opportunity to shape Swift’s compliance framework and maturity journey.

Join Swift’s Compliance team

Swift’s Compliance team aims to meet regulatory requirements. The Compliance Framework Specialist will contribute to building and managing Swift’s Compliance Framework and Roadmap as part of the Global Compliance team.

What to expect

In this role you will be responsible for managing and building out Swift’s Compliance Framework and Compliance Roadmap. Responsibilities include:

• Managing Swift’s group-wide Compliance Framework
• Driving implementation and adherence to the Compliance Framework across Swift
• Maintaining Swift’s Compliance Roadmap to continuously drive compliance maturity
• Tracking and reporting on compliance maturity actions
• Coordinating reviews and approvals of the Compliance Framework and Roadmap
• Acting as centre of expertise for Compliance Framework questions
• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, the Board, regulators and external advisors
• Coordinating stakeholder groups
• Communicating, advocating and coaching internal stakeholders on Swift’s Compliance Framework and Governance, Risk and Compliance topics
• Collaborating with subject matter experts in Compliance and other control functions
• Applying latest compliance best practices and trends

What will make you successful?

We are seeking professionals with:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in law, business, economics, or similar
• 7–10 years of experience in compliance or risk management (preferably in a regulated financial entity)
• Deep understanding of regulators’ compliance expectations (e.g., the NBB’s Compliance Circular)
• Expertise in Governance, Risk and Compliance principles, including the 3 lines of defence
• Skilled in networking and stakeholder consultation
• Critical thinking and willingness to challenge the status quo
• Attention to detail and ability to design abstract governance structures
• Continuous learning and training to capture global compliance and industry trends
• Lead by example – ethical business conduct
