Overview

Senior Commercial Finance Manager | Leeds | Competitive Salary + 20%+ Bonus, Car Allowance, Good Pension | 25 days holiday + BH | Hybrid (4:1)

We are exclusively partnered with one of the UK's most recognised businesses on an exciting new Senior Commercial Finance Manager opportunity. This role offers the chance to lead the business partnering of a large division, with significant exposure to senior stakeholders who will genuinely value your insight. While the organisation is large in scale, the high-performing team are down to earth and has strong prospects for progression given the strategic focus on this business unit.

Responsibilities

• Partner with commercial leadership on strategic and operational decisions, providing challenge and recommendations
• Lead and develop a team of 2 Finance Managers, fostering capability and high performance
• Build and improve financial models, processes, and reporting to strengthen decision-making and governance
• Own performance analysis, highlighting risks, opportunities, and actions
• Collaborate across Tax, Treasury, Controllership, and Commercial Finance to ensure compliance and alignment
• Support business cases and investment proposals with clear financial evaluation
• Provide strategic insight using advanced analytics and digital tools, challenging senior stakeholders with confidence

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Significant post-qualified experience in commercial finance, ideally within retail, FMCG, or consumer-facing industries
• Strong leadership capability - proven experience coaching, developing, and motivating finance teams
• Strategic thinker with the ability to see future possibilities and translate them into clear, actionable strategies
• Highly analytical, commercially astute, and comfortable handling large, complex datasets
• Confident communicator and influencer, able to simplify complex information and build trust with senior stakeholders
• Comfortable challenging assumptions and decisions at the director level, while fostering collaboration and positive outcomes
• Experience improving data quality and processes, ideally within supply or commercial finance environments
