Overview

Senior Commercial Account Handler/Broker - London

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for a new independent commercial brokerage based in the city of London. They have a local presence in and around the South of England and UK wide, providing a personal service to clients, developing new business opportunities through recommendations and referrals via their IFA sector, and servicing all types of SME to medium size enterprise businesses.

This position offers the successful candidate to really develop their skills within a commercial insurance environment, working closely with the Senior Director team. The role will include mainly internal work and some external client visits where necessary. You will be the go-to person for all insurance related matters and be a safe pair of hands that can fully engage with the client portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Handle internal commercial insurance processes and provide support to the client portfolio.
  • Conduct external client visits when necessary and present risks to insurer markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with underwriters to secure the best terms for clients.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for insurance-related matters within the portfolio.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of commercial insurance experience.
  • Current experience in a broking environment.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels; proactive and can-do attitude.
  • Ability to present risks to insurer markets and negotiate terms for clients.
