The role of the Senior Clinical Support Worker in the Trust is different depending upon the ward or department the role is based, however you would be delivering care and support to our patients, learning new skills in assessment and documentation, as well as working as part of the wider team to deliver an excellent patient experience.

This role requires the following qualifications and documents to be provided as part of the recruitment and selection process for this role.

The Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker qualifications are outlined below:
If you have completed your qualifications overseas you must provide a ECCTIS compatibility statement and have this ready to send when requested prior to shortlisting. If you do not have an ECCTIS statement ready to support your application, please do NOT apply as your application will be rejected.
If you have completed a degree level qualification in the UK or other professional qualifications our policy states that we are unable to accept these as evidence of GCSE or equivalent as part of the requirements for this role, you MUST be able to show GCSE or equivalent qualifications independently from a degree level qualification.
OR
Hold an NVQ Level 3 Award in Health and Social Care (Must be accredited by a regulated awarding body).
Condition of Employment If the candidate holds a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care but no Care Certificate, they can be considered for the role however must complete the National Care Certificate within 3 months of commencing employment in the Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker role.
