Job description

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, skilled Senior Clinical Fellow to join the Respiratory Department at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LTHTR). The successful applicants will work closely as part of a dynamic Respiratory team. The department provides tertiary respiratory services in interventional bronchoscopy, ventilation, asthma and ILD to Lancashire and South Cumbria.

The post is to support development of either early middle grade trainees who want to pursue and develop a career in respiratory medicine or for Post-CCT trainees who would like to develop skill sets in regional services.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Clinical Fellow posts support clinical and academic development for the trainees in respiratory medicine as well as their chosen clinical sub-specialty.
• The posts’ duties include middle grade inpatient care, sub-speciality clinics, general thoracic clinics, delivery of undergraduate medical education and supported research time.
• The LTHTR has a significant transformation project underway and the SCFs will be involved in delivering acute care through the Respiratory assessment Unit and supporting consultant led weekend inpatient ward rounds.
• Various training opportunities available.
