An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the clinical team within Respiratory Medicine as a Senior Clinical Fellow at BHRUT. The post is suitable for an IMT3/ST3 trainee in General Medicine planning to pursue a career in Respiratory Medicine, General/Acute Medicine, or Infectious Diseases (ID). The initial duration is one year, with the possibility of extension if mutually agreed.
The role offers experience in all aspects of Respiratory Medicine including Lung cancer, airways disease, Pleural disease, Thoracic ultrasound, and bronchoscopy. It also involves managing acute Respiratory failure, including CPAP and NIV.
This position includes on-call commitments in GIM, including nights and weekends, with opportunities to participate in the Acute General Medicine on-call via the In-House Bank.
The Trust supports continuing professional development as per The Royal College of Physicians, providing time and financial support, annual appraisals, and revalidation support.
The post holder will support comprehensive patient care in the Respiratory unit, provide in-reach services, perform Bronchoscopy/pleural procedures under supervision, and conduct outpatient respiratory clinics. There are ample opportunities for Quality Improvement projects, Audit, and Research.
