This post is for a full-time ST3+ level in Cellular Therapy within the Department of Haematological Medicine at Saint George's Hospital, based at St George's Hospital NHS Trust. The post participates in the on-call rota.
The post holder will work as an integrated member of the haematology team at ST3+ level, supporting in-patient, day unit and outpatient services across both malignant and non-malignant haematology under the supervision of the consultant team. The role focuses on transplant coordination and seeing patients in the late effects clinic on the ward. The post holder should have a good understanding of all haematological subspecialties as part of on-call responsibilities and will manage and review patients in outpatient and inpatient settings. The department is developing cellular therapy with a view to expanding CAR-T work; the post holder will work with transplant and clinical trials teams to assist with the development of the CAR-T programme and may cross-cover the BMT programme, evolving with changing indications.
Opportunities to gain experience across transplant and cellular therapy including coordination, post-discharge care and inpatient/outpatient CAR-T work. The appointee will participate in day-to-day activities of the lymphoma and transplant service, including two clinics per week. Medical support to the multidisciplinary BMT Team, ward duties and outpatient care relevant to haemato-oncology, Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular therapy. Training and experience in therapeutic apheresis and stem cell laboratory. Annual appraisal required.

This post is for a full-time ST3+ level in Cellular Therapy within the Department of Haematological Medicine at Saint Georges Hospital. Based at St Georges Hospital NHS Trust in the department of haematology for 12 months and will be participating in the on-call rota.
The post will have a specific focus on Cellular therapy with a view to develop and enhance skills and competencies of the candidate in accordance with the FACT-JACIE accreditation standards. The department is developing cellular therapy department with the aim to expand significantly its CAR-T work in the coming years. The post-holder is expected to work within the transplant and clinical trials teams to assist with the ongoing development of the CAR-T programme. The post holder will be cross covering the BMT programme, with the rapid progression in treatment indications for cellular therapy, this will evolve and may change.
Opportunities can be provided for successful candidates to gain experience across all aspects of transplant and cellular therapy including coordination, post discharge care and inpatient/outpatient CAR-T work. The appointee will take an active role in the day-to-day activities of the lymphoma and transplant service. They will be doing 2 clinics per week. The role will include provision of medical support to the multidisciplinary BMT Team as well as ward duties and outpatient care relevant to haemato-oncology, Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation / and Cellular therapy.
In addition to clinical work the appointee will receive training and experience in the areas of therapeutic apheresis and stem cell laboratory. The post holder will be expected to undergo an annual appraisal.
