Overview

Responsibilities
  • Support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of changes impacting care and care plans, ensure new needs are met, and amend written records to reflect any variation.
  • Be involved in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing; ensure reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.
Qualifications
  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
