Senior Care Assistant

Are you a Senior Care Assistant looking to further develop your skills? Our Senior Care Assistants play a key role in ensuring each person living within our homes receive the care they need to live a fulfilling life.

About the home: Three Bridges Nursing Home is part of the award-winning Orchard Care Homes group, a friendly, warm and welcoming nursing home with 53 bedrooms, en-suite facilities, large communal living rooms, a garden and a library. Orchard Care Homes has been providing care for older people for over 15 years. We invest in our people with training and progression opportunities across our portfolio of homes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate a high personalised standard of nursing care which meets individuals' needs and the high standards expected at Orchard Care Homes.
  • Ensure individuals are treated with respect and dignity, upholding privacy, independence and choice.
  • Lead, supervise, support and develop the care team as a team player.
  • Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills while liaising with external professionals, individuals and relatives.
  • Administer medication safely; receive additional training to ensure competency and knowledge of the medication used in our homes.
Qualifications
  • Previous care experience, within Older People’s care or a dementia setting.
  • Preferable to have a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • If qualified to Level 2, support to achieve Level 3 via our career pathway.

Additional information

Rates of pay: NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care: £12.81 per hour; NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care: £13.80 per hour.
