A leading care provider is looking for a Senior Care Assistant in Stalybridge. In this full-time role, you will lead a team to provide personalized care for residents, ensuring their dignity and independence. Ideal candidates will have a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care, and a background in dementia care. About The Role. This role is for Full Time hours, 44hrs per week, working over a seven day rota. Shifts will be a mixture of Days and Nights.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will help ensure residents are treated as people with their own stories, and you will have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
In this role you will plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families, helping to deliver truly personalised care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain the highest standards of care and influence the rest of the team. You may assist with activities such as showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of life, or talking to a resident’s family on the phone, always with kindness. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and you may administer medication.
One of your key responsibilities as Senior Care Assistant is to maintain accurate records of the job you do and build strong relationships with the rest of your team.
Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people. You’ll know what good record keeping looks like, be able to manage your time effectively, and communicate with residents or co-workers with consideration and kindness.
