Overview

Job responsibilities

Please note that this is a full-time role working day shifts from 8am to 8pm, 38.5 hours per week. Full flexibility is required. You will:

  • Plan and implement the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care, while acting as a positive influence on the care team.
  • Know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, including administering medication.
  • Maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.
  • Be prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent and have a background in person-centred care planning and dementia care knowledge.
  • Demonstrate brilliant, positive energy, good time management, and kind communication with residents and coworkers.

Qualifications

Essential: Level 2 Diploma or NVQ in Adult Care or equivalent; willingness to work towards Level 3; experience with person-centred care planning and dementia care; positive energy and strong interpersonal skills; good record-keeping and time management.

Desirable: Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent; additional related qualifications in Health & Social Care.
