Job description

Personal Care

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and continence care.

Daily Living

• Help with medication reminders, meal preparation, and feeding.

Household and Errands

• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, and other errands.

Companionship

• Engage clients in conversation, provide emotional support, and facilitate social or physical activities.

Health Monitoring

• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, and report changes in health or well-being.

Administrative Duties

• Update client records and care plans, coordinate with professional staff, and help with tasks like letter writing or bill paying.

Supervisory and Management

• Oversee and support a team of care workers.
• Provide training and mentorship to new staff.
• Respond to emergencies and provide guidance to the team.
• Conduct quality checks on the care provided by other workers.

Key Duties

• Assist service users with dressing, washing, and using the toilet.
• Serve meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
• Provide interest and activities to engage service users.
• Assist with medication and monitor vital signs.
• Undertake light cleaning and domestic duties, including meal preparation.
• Liaise with professional staff to carry out care plans.
