CAD Technician – Structural (Revit)

Location: Manchester

Are you a CAD technician with a passion for construction and infrastructure projects?

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Structural CAD Technician to join our Manchester based design team, supporting some of the UK's largest and most ambitious infrastructure and building projects.

In this role, you'll work closely with structural engineers and technicians to deliver accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using Revit Structure and AutoCAD. Your output will support everything from tender and construction drawings to temporary works layouts, playing a key part in ensuring projects are designed and delivered safely and effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing detailed 3D structural models in Revit Structure.

Producing high-quality 2D layouts, general arrangements, and details.

PreparingVanaf reinforcement schedules, pile schedules, and BOMs.

Creating construction sequence graphics for method statements, task briefings, and risk assessments.

Providing 2D/3D models to support visual method statements.

Collaborating across disciplines in a shared Revit environment to maintain clear and coordinated project data.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong proficiency in Revit Structure and AutoCAD.
• Skilled in 2ernes drafting and 3D modelling.
• Understanding of reinforced concrete, steelwork structures, and temporary works systems (falsework, formwork, shoring).
• A technician with an eye for detail and the ability to present complex designs clearly.
