Overview

Using C# for robotic applications, this applied robotics company develops both software and hardware used in the field. They have delivered multiple versions of their mobile robots for partner customers. Their latest projects introduce new features and technologies to improve their robots. They are currently recruiting for their engineering team. This hands-on software engineer role is senior-level and technically adept, working on a range of software development and engineering activities, including implementing best practice software design patterns and architecture within an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Senior member of the engineering team to help scale software, provide technical input for new projects, mentor junior team members, and ensure high quality across the codebase.
• Implement and promote best practice software design patterns and architecture in an agile setting.
• Collaborate with software, electronics, manufacturing and mechanical engineers to deliver integrated robotic solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive demonstrable experience in coding and software engineering using C# and .NET; coupled with experience with Python and Linux.
• Experience interacting with complex hardware products, ideally within robotics.
• Exposure to Azure DevOps tools and technologies.
• Experience with both startups/scale-ups and larger organizations.
• Additional experience in technical team mentoring, software architecture and/or software scalability is desirable.
• Projects experience is most important; what you have done should be technically and practically relevant.
• Applicants are expected to be computer science graduates or similar.
• Good communications are required due to multidisciplinary work with software, electronics, manufacturing and mechanical engineers.

Working arrangements & Benefits

Work will be mostly conducted at offices and workshops, with homeworking options available when projects allow. On offer is an excellent remuneration package including benefits. No company sponsorship is available. Due to the semi-rural location, applicants who have their own vehicle or who are willing to take public transport are encouraged.
