We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded Senior Buyer to lead the development of innovative, profitable product ranges within Small Domestic Appliances.

This role will play a pivotal part in shaping the product strategy, building compelling assortments, and driving sales and profitability across multi-channel retail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the buying strategy and product planning to deliver growth and maximise profit.
  • Develop commercially viable ranges that align with customer demand and seasonal trends.
  • Negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure competitive cost prices and maintain margin targets.
  • Monitor stock levels, manage budgets, and ensure optimal stock availability across all channels.
  • Analyse sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for category growth.
  • Leverage social and digital insights to identify emerging product trends and opportunities.
  • Oversee the critical path, ensuring all ranges are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Lead, mentor, and collaborate with a team of Buyers and Assistants, supporting their development.
  • Present ranges, strategies, and results to senior management.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years' experience at Senior Buyer level (ideally within home, electricals, or related categories).
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of delivering profitable ranges.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with experience building and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.Solid understanding of multi-channel retail, including ecommerce.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycles and seasonal buying.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing junior team members.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
