Job Summary

We are looking to hire a Senior Game Client Developer at Push Gaming, a dynamic and innovative game development studio specialising in creating top‑quality, mobile‑optimised online casino games. You will be a key player in the development and delivery of our industry‑leading online slot games, taking ownership of complex game features and development initiatives. This is a hybrid position in UK (London) or Poland (Warsaw). Salary is competitive and depends on experience.

Responsibilities

• Technical decisions for the client‑side game architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and code quality.
• Implement complex game logic, including reel mechanics and special features for new slot titles.
• Collaborate closely with Game Mathematicians, Designers, QA Engineers, and Backend Developers to translate game specifications and art assets into a functional product.
• Optimize game performance for various browsers and devices, focusing on memory management, frame rate stability, and fast loading times.
• Integrate with the backend platform using REST APIs, manage game state, and handle secure transactions / data exchange.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level developers, improving their technical skills and understanding of best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools and best practices.
• Debug and resolve complex issues reported internally or live.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the HTML5 Canvas API, with familiarity in Web GL API and rendering pipelines a plus.
• Proficiency with Git, distributed version control, and branching strategies.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment; familiarity with project management tools such as Jira / Click Up.
• Basic understanding of DOM and CSS for supporting UI/UX elements outside the canvas.
• Proven ability to drive technical projects to completion, learning quickly and adapting to new technologies.
• Deep understanding of object‑oriented programming (OOP) principles and software architecture.
• Expertise in Object‑oriented JavaScript / TypeScript, and proficiency with software design patterns applied to game development.
• Strong math and physics skills relevant to implementing game logic and animations such as reel stops and trajectories.
• Experience with Pixi.js / Phaser.js or a similar HTML5 game engine, and with Spine or other 2D skeletal animation tools.
• Experience in a similar level role; ideally a senior or principal position. High‑performing mid‑level developers looking for a step up into a senior position are also encouraged to apply.
