As a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead business analysis activities on large, complex digital programmes. You'll work across multiple teams and technical delivery strands to drive service improvements and deliver real value. As part of the role, you may be required to travel regularly to the other digital hubs (this counts as working time, and you'll incur no travel costs). The frequency of this will be discussed further should you be successful.
As a Senior Business Analyst in DWP Digital, you will work on large, complex, and cross-cutting products or services, sometimes across multiple projects simultaneously. Your role is key to enabling the delivery of digital solutions that achieve strategic business outcomes and improve experiences for millions of users.
You will lead workshops, interviews, and focus groups to understand business problems and user needs. Collaborating with senior technical and business stakeholders, you'll ensure requirements and acceptance criteria align with our established digital roadmaps. You'll need a strong understanding of business processes and how they connect to departmental strategy.
You will be leader within our BA community, with ownership of business analysis activities and champion continual learning and development. You may also have line management responsibilities and play a leadership role in capability building and recruitment, helping shape the future of the BA profession within DWP Digital.
You will promote DWP Digital delivery methodologies, setting standards across the function and educating BA teams on principles, methods, and tools. Using your experience of delivery frameworks, you'll translate business and user needs into actionable deliverables, working collaboratively to define and achieve value outcomes.
You'll also work closely with senior stakeholders to prioritise projects in line with strategic goals.
You’ll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield
We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay for this role is from £57,946 to £68,205
You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 28.97%, worth up to £19,758 per year.
A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
