A major UK healthcare provider is seeking a highly experienced Senior Biomedical Scientist responsible for scientific investigations in diagnosing infectious diseases. The role involves managing laboratory information systems, supervising staff, and holding technical responsibility for laboratory sections. Ideal candidates will be state registered and have experience in supervising and training staff. This position offers a chance to work at one of the busiest acute Trusts in the North West of England.
The post-holder is a highly experienced, state registered Senior Biomedical Scientist responsible for scientific investigations in the diagnosis of infectious diseases and for managing the information and computer systems used by the Microbiology service. The role also includes acting as Information Officer for data search requests on the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Involved in the daily supervision of Biomedical Scientists and support staff. The post holder has technical responsibility for a section of the laboratory and will supervise and train qualified and unqualified staff.
