Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a bid writing role within the construction or built environment sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of public procurement processes and frameworks (e.g. NEC, JCT, etc.).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and document formatting/presentation.
  • Degree or relevant professional qualification in English, Journalism, Marketing, or similar (desirable).

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of high-quality written content for PQQs, ITTs, and framework submissions.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, persuasive narrative tailored to client requirements.
  • Work closely with bid managers, technical teams, and subject matter experts to gather content and develop win themes.
  • Review and improve existing content, maintaining a library of pre-written responses and case studies.
  • Ensure all submissions are compliant, well-structured, and meet evaluation criteria.
  • Support post-submission clarifications and presentations as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the bid process and writing standards.

You will play a key role in leading and producing high-quality, compelling bid submissions across a range of sectors, including construction, housing, and public sector contracts.
