A leading global law firm is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate for their National Professional Indemnity team in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience, with a focus on advising on professional liability and coverage disputes. Our National Professional Indemnity team is made up of a broad range of experts across UK offices. The NPI team has a very broad range of work with the professional, financial and management liability space, including but not limited to solicitors; accountants; IFAs, wealth‑managers, pensions administrators and financial institutions; major insurance broking houses; surveyors; architects; D&O; and miscellaneous professions. The core of the NPI team’s work is acting for professionals and their insurers in the defence of civil liability claims against them, as well as on regulatory/disciplinary matters and coverage. Our national Professional Indemnity team handle complex regulatory investigations and litigation, while advising on a range of coverage matters, including identifying key trigger points for insurance protection.
As an Associate in Clyde Co’s National Professional Indemnity team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services across a broad spectrum of professional liability matters. Working within one of the market‑leading practices for insurance and professional risk, you will manage a diverse caseload involving claims against professionals such as solicitors, accountants, financial advisers, construction consultants, brokers, and other regulated practitioners.
The role involves handling complex, multi‑party disputes—both litigated and pre‑action—alongside policy coverage issues and advisory work for major insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates, and corporate clients. You will be expected to run files independently while also contributing to larger, strategically important matters under partner guidance.
