Senior Architectural Technologist / Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join our professional Technical Team based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire.

What you'll be doing:

Reporting to the Technical Manager, your primary responsibility will be to prepare and issue detailed house type designs in line with the agreed programme. These designs must meet the Company's standards as well as all relevant regulatory and technical requirements. You will work closely with site, attending when required, to oversee projects and ensure compliance with technical designs. You will also be required to coordinate external consultants such as Ecologists, Architects, Landscape Architects and Structural Engineers.

Skills & knowledge you'll bring:
  • Hold an Architectural Technology Degree, or equivalent in working experience
  • Experience within the role of a Senior Architectural Technologist, with a consultancy background or a housebuilder with in-house design
  • Ideally, CIAT chartered, but studies can be fully supported toward this
  • Excellent IT skills including packages such as Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD
  • Ability to produce detailed working drawings and complex construction details
  • Experience in coordinating and checking third party manufacturers drawings
  • Knowledge of current building regulations and NHBC requirements.
  • Able to coordinate external consultants and utility providers
  • Mentor junior teams members
