ABOUT THIS POSITION

What You Will Do

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly closing and annual financial statements for the UK subsidiary under IFRS.
  • Consolidating financial statements for the UK subsidiary and Singapore branch.
  • Ensuring all AR/AP invoices, expense statements, and payments are approved and processed per company policies.
  • Preparing monthly cash flow forecasts.
  • Filing quarterly and annual UK VAT returns accurately and on time.
  • Performing monthly group inventory valuation, impairment reviews, and reconciliations.
  • Managing intercompany recharges and reconciliations, including revenue transfers and management fees.
  • Coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors for statutory accounts, audits, and tax filings.
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal policies, and regulatory requirements, including US NFA.
  • Reviewing and improving accounting processes, policies, and controls.
  • Overseeing daily office management and administrative operations in London.
  • Supporting company event planning and organization.
  • Collaborating across divisions and locations to resolve finance-related queries.

This role requires on-site presence at our London office. Remote work is not considered.

Secondary responsibilities include:

  • Supporting management reporting, financial analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Resolving ad hoc accounting system, reporting, or data issues.
  • Participating in finance projects, process improvements, and system implementations.

Skills & Competencies

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong IFRS knowledge.
  • Understanding of UK VAT and corporation tax.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and consolidation tools (preferred).
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and audits.
  • Organizational and time management skills; ability to work under pressure.
  • Results-oriented with personal accountability.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Self-starter capable of independent work.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of broad accounting experience, including financial reporting.
  • Preferred ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in both public accounting and corporate environments is a plus.
  • Experience in international or multi-entity settings is advantageous.
