Overview

SEND Teaching Assistant (Level 2) - Temporary Position

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to support pupils at Hampton Lakes Primary School.

The SEND Teaching Assistant (Level 2) role involves supporting pupils with high SEND needs; therefore, this role would be suitable for candidates who have previous experience working with children who have complex needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Down’s Syndrome.

Responsibilities

As part of your role as a SEND Teaching Assistant you will be required to carry out 30 minutes of Midday Supervision per day, which is a great way to build positive relationships with all children.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time only.

Requirements / Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the Every Child Matters framework and have a passion for helping children achieve their full potential. Applicants should have some experience working with children and feel comfortable in a school environment, demonstrating the ability to respond sensitively and appropriately to a range of situations. We are looking for individuals who are confident working with children, can engage effectively with pupils and encourage positive behaviour.
