SEN Teacher - Complex Needs School | Salford

Salary: M1 - UPS + SEN Allowance

Contract: Full-time, Long-Term

Start Date: ASAP or January 2026

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester (Swinton)

This well-resourced, forward-thinking special school caters for children and young people aged 4-19 with a range of complex needs, including severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism spectrum conditions (ASC), and associated medical needs. The school is proud of its inclusive ethos, supportive leadership, and strong multi-disciplinary team approach.

The Role
  • Lead a small, well-supported class of pupils with complex needs
  • Develop and deliver highly personalised learning plans
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and external professionals
  • Use creative strategies to engage pupils with diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment
What We're Looking For
  • QTS or QTLS (Essential)
  • Experience working in an SEN or complex needs setting (preferred)
  • A calm, flexible and patient approach to teaching
  • Excellent communication and team-working skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
