SEN Teacher - Complex Needs School | Salford

Salary: M1 - UPS + SEN Allowance

Contract: Full-time, Long-Term

Start Date: ASAP or January 2026

Location: Salford, Greater Manchester (Swinton)

This well-resourced, forward-thinking special school caters for children and young people aged 4-19 with a range of complex needs, including severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism spectrum conditions (ASC), and associated medical needs. The Role

• Lead a small, well-supported class of pupils with complex needs
• Develop and deliver highly personalised learning plans
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and external professionals
• Use creative strategies to engage pupils with diverse learning styles and abilities
• Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment

What We're Looking For

• QTS or QTLS (Essential)
• Experience working in an SEN or complex needs setting (preferred)
• A calm, flexible and patient approach to teaching
• Excellent communication and team-working skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
