As an SEN tutor for Remedy Tutors you would be assigned a caseload of SEN students that fall within your specific teaching specialisms, are local to you and suit your availability.

Core Skills & Experience
  • Conducting baseline assessments; planning, implementing and delivering carefully tailored programmes of study in line with the immediate learning needs of the student.
  • Previous experience working with children either in a school setting, or 1:1 within the home, local library or online (sometimes both face‑to‑face and online is required).
  • Experience dealing with a range of special needs, learning disabilities, behavioural difficulties, literacy and numeracy needs, and any additional specialisms such as working with dyslexia, dyspraxia, ODD, ADHD, etc.
  • Ideally you will be free to teach within school hours, as that is when most tuition is required, although occasionally we do require tuition in the evenings and on weekends.

Note that you will need a fully enhanced DBS for children and adults which should ideally be registered on the DBS update service – if you do not already have one, you can apply for a new one through Remedy.
