Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnet, North London
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Pay: 90-115 per day
Start Date: January 2026

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with Autism in Barnet. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a nurturing, structured environment where pupils' individual needs are supported and celebrated.

The Role:
  • Support pupils with Autism in 1:1 and small-group settings
  • Assist with daily routines, learning activities, and personal care as needed
  • Implement individualised learning plans to help pupils develop social, emotional, and academic skills
  • Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
  • Work closely with teachers and the SEN team to provide consistent support
About You:
  • Experience working with children with Autism (SEN school, ARP, or similar setting)
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
