We are searching for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic partner SEN School in the King's Lynn area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ready to make a significant impact by helping students achieve their academic and personal goals.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll be a key part of the classroom support system. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Tailored Student Support: Providing one-to-one or small group support to students with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Encouraging Independence: Helping students develop key life skills and build their confidence, enabling them to become more independent learners.
  • Classroom Assistance: Working closely with the class teacher to prepare materials, set up activities, and ensure a smooth, positive learning environment for all.
  • Effective Communication: Being a valuable link between the student and the teacher, sharing observations and providing feedback on progress and challenges.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with a compassionate and flexible approach. You should have:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK and a valid Child DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one).
  • A Supportive Nature: The ability to be understanding, and encouraging, especially during challenging moments.
  • A "Can-Do" Attitude: Someone who is proactive, resilient, and ready to find creative ways to help students succeed.
  • Strong People Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff.
  • Relevant Experience: Prior experience in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
