We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive primary school in Romford from January 2026.

About the role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to support pupils with additional needs. You will provide targeted support, help implement individual education plans (IEPs), and assist with interventions and classroom activities to ensure all children can engage fully in learning. This role requires patience, creativity and a strong commitment to inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted support to pupils with SEND, both in the classroom and during interventions.
  • Assist in implementing IEPs and monitoring progress.
  • Support pupils social, emotional and behavioral development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, the SEND coordinator, and other professionals.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Encourage independence and build positive relationships with pupils and families.
