SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnham, West Sussex
Start Date: September 2025
Daily Rate: £85 - £95 per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with special educational needs? A welcoming primary school in Barnham is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
  • Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning materials as needed
  • Support the class teacher in managing behaviour and promoting inclusion
  • Monitor pupil progress and help with personalised learning plans
  • Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working with children with SEN. For example: autism, ADHD, speech & language needs
  • A patient, nurturing and flexible approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting all learners
