Overview

SEN Teacher - Part-Time (1:1 Bespoke Support | SEN Room)

Location: Harrow, HA3 (commutable from Harrow-on-the-Hill, Rayners Lane, South Harrow, Wembley, Northolt)

Salary: £180-£230 per day (dependent on experience)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Part-time, long-term (2-3 days per week - flexible on days)

Long Term Futures is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Harrow to appoint an experienced and reflective SEN Teacher to deliver bespoke 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking to transition into SEN, deepen their specialist practice, or step into a more targeted and flexible role.

About the Role

Based primarily in the school's SEN room, you will work closely with individual pupils to deliver tailored teaching approaches that meet their specific needs. Alongside direct teaching, you will play a consultative role, helping class teachers and teaching assistants adapt their strategies to better support each child.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering 1:1 SEN teaching using personalised approaches and interventions
  • Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, communication and learning needs
  • Observing pupils in class and providing practical guidance to teachers and TAs
  • Modelling strategies and adapting resources to suit individual learning styles
  • Supporting staff to build confidence and consistency when working with SEN pupils
  • Monitoring progress and adjusting approaches to ensure meaningful outcomes

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN, or a strong interest in transitioning into SEN
  • Confident delivering personalised, pupil-centred teaching
