SEN Teacher required in Ware, Hertfordshire!

Remuneration: £150 £230 per day (depending on experience)

We are looking for a pupil-focused SEN Teacher based in or near Ware, Hertfordshire, who has a passion for meeting the individual needs of pupils while maintaining high educational standards and supporting learners with a range of additional needs.

About the School

The school supports -year-old pupils with Special Educational Needs, with a focus on Learning Difficulties (LD), Autism (ASD), and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN).

The school provides a holistic and nurturing environment, placing strong emphasis on outdoor learning, hands-on experiences, and the development of practical life skills. Their approach is designed to help pupils grow into confident, independent young adults, prepared for their local community and the next stage of education or training.

To be successful in this role, you will be committed to delivering high-quality education and support, and able to commit to regular working hours in Ware, Hertfordshire.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SLCN (Speech, Language and Communication Needs), ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) and MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
  • Supporting pupils academic, social and emotional development
  • Working closely with parents and carers to ensure a positive and supportive educational journey
  • Helping pupils to develop confidence, independence and engagement in learning
  • Working collaboratively as part of a whole-school team
  • Building strong working relationships with classroom and pupil support staff
  • Being commutable to Ware, Hertfordshire
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and/or relevant teaching experience
  • Experience supporting learners with SLCN, ASD and/or MLD
  • Experience within a specialist or alternative provision (desirable, but not essential)
  • A nurturing, patient and flexible approach to teaching pupils with SEND
  • Mainstream teachers with a strong interest in transitioning into SEN are encouraged to apply
