Overview

Entry Level LSA/TA/Care Assistant/SEND Support Worker - Required now. Protocol Education are looking to recruit a learning support assistant/teaching assistant to join a SEND provision in Witham. The students have a variety of special needs, including ASD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD, or have been identified as having a statement of educational need. A desire to assist in this area is required, but no experience is necessary.

Responsibilities
  • All staff work to inspire, motivate, challenge and support each pupil, with a friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Build strong relationships and rapport with individual children.
  • Support pupils with their learning and welfare in a SEND provision.
  • Work as part of a team to meet the diverse needs of students.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Passion for supporting children with special needs.
  • No specific experience required; suitable for entry level candidates with a social care background or personal experience supporting SEND.
  • All applicants require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
  • All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced DBS check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service. Safeguarding checks are undertaken in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (DfE).
Details

This is a long-term, full-time position. Availability 5 days a week between 8:30am and 15:30pm. Location: Witham.

Remuneration and Employment Type

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
