The overall purpose of the SEN Learning Coordinator role is to ensure that students accessing the Student Support Centre (Learning Zone) are fully included in school life and able to achieve strong academic, social and emotional outcomes through high‑quality, well‑planned support. The role leads the daily operation of the Learning Zone, overseeing targeted interventions, coordinating resources, guiding staff practice, and using data to drive effective strategies that help students overcome barriers to learning. It also involves maintaining accurate records, supporting transitions, shaping whole‑school inclusion processes, and fostering collaborative relationships so that staff are equipped to meet diverse student needs and students develop the skills, confidence and resilience required for success.
